Broward

Nyberg-Swanson House

The site itself introduces several challenges, including a steep slope with a grade of 8/12, which will require expert handling to ensure stability and accessibility throughout the process. Additionally, the area is characterized by significant tree coverage, adding complexity to the planning and construction phases, as careful consideration must be given to protecting the natural environment while ensuring the successful integration of the tilework. The project also required specific custom Metal Shingles from manufacturer Berridge.

This project offers a blend of historical preservation, technical expertise, and environmental stewardship, making it an exciting and rewarding endeavor.

Custom Blue

The owner of this new construction project requested a custom blend of blue from manufacturer Ludowici to complement the design aesthetic of the building. To create a seamless look, the customer requested the same color for the mortar. The project also includes the installation of several dormers, which require technical expertise. Together, the uniqueness of the tile's color with the matching mortar on significant-size custom homes makes it a standout project.

TAMPA

Urshan

The new construction project features an elegant copper concave roof above the front window, adding a sophisticated architectural element to the structure. This visually striking roof is complemented by three copper dormers, strategically placed in the front to enhance aesthetic appeal and functionality. This project's challenges were the steep 12/12 slope and the technical difficulties of producing the copper concave roof and dormers.

Ebba Wilson

The historical project in the oldest district of Tampa from the early 1900s, involves a complex sage color metal reroof installation with a unique copper-colored turret. The lighting road at the top of the turret had to be reconnected from the turret throughout the roof to avoid direct contact in case of a lightning strike- Because of the age of the building, its stained glass windows, and the exotic vegetation around the building, tarps and extra care were to be applied to avoid any damages. The intricate geometry of the 52 facets requires precision and expertise to ensure proper alignment and installation of the metal roofing system.

In the end, this unique project leaves an impact in the neighborhood and has neighbors and visitors come to admire it.

ORLANDO

Sydonie

After years of repairs on this 1883 historical property near Orlando, we were awarded the replacement of the roof of the Sydonic Mansion featuring Ludowici Tiles.

The main challenge faced was preserving and recycling 70% of the 4,200 French-field Ludowici tiles. Finding nearby storage to avoid overburdening the crew with weight but without cluttering the workspace was difficult.

The Sydonie Mansion hosts events and weddings which created a tight schedule for our team to complete the completion of this 11500 sq roof with a height as high as 28 feet.

Balancing these constraints required expert coordination and careful planning to maintain a smooth workflow while respecting the mansion’s heritage.

Despite all the challenges, the roof now offers a beautiful backdrop for future events at the historic venue.

Pagoda

The Chinese Ting is a renowned Asian Pagoda in Lake Eola in the Center of Orlando.

It was a gift from Orlando’s sister city in China, Gullin was originally built in Shanghai before being shipped to Orlalndo. The pagoda was damaged during a storm in 2017 when a massive thousand pound branch fell onto it causing damages to the deck and the roof.

Our team was recruited for this extraordinary project which involved unique tiles and structure.

The project was not without challenges including weather and the presence of cement mixed with water from the pond which posed a risk of the mortar breaking, requiring quick adaptation and problem-solving skills.

Additionally, making the new tiles match the existing style presented another difficulty, as it required careful selection and placement to ensure consistency with the original design. In areas where the mortar had been broken or damaged, a 2x4 ridge was installed to reinforce the structure. In other sections, foam was used as an alternative solution to provide stability and preserve the integrity of the roof. These adjustments were crucial in maintaining both the aesthetic quality and structural durability of the project.

We are proud to have overcome those challenges to provide the city of Orlando and its visitors with a remarkable sight to admire.

SWFL

Sanibel Miller

The gable roof awnings were both the challenges and highlights of this project. This awning not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the building but also provides practical benefits, such as additional shade and protection from the elements. The gable design allows for effective water runoff, contributing to the overall durability and longevity of the roofing system. It complements the overall architecture while offering a distinctive, timeless feature that blends both form and function seamlessly.

PALM BEACH

Villa Borghese Club House & Gate House

The beautiful Gate House and Club House, situated in the heart of Delray Beach, serve as a stunning architectural welcome building that enhance the community's appeal. However, the project faced several challenges, including height, working with a busy entrance of a community and tight schedules. Despite these hurdles, the result is a remarkable addition to the area, offering both aesthetic value and functionality to the residents and visitors of this Delray Beach community.
